My friend Tim and I went to Germany in 1983. We rented a car in Luxembourg and drove all over the place. In one town we kept circling around the streets, lost. We figured the locals were shocked to see so many cars from Luxembourg, and that we must be part of an invasion by the Luxembourg Invasion Army. For the first and only time in my travels, we finished our itinerary before the end of our trip. So we added a few extra stops in Luxembourg, Belgium, and France. When I travel with friends, I don’t bother keeping a travel diary, so there’s no real account of this trip.
Once again, time has played havoc with the colors of the slides. I did my best to restore the proper colors, or at least to get rid of the red hues the slides seemed to like. Many of them came out black and white instead of color, but for castle walls, it didn’t matter that much.
